bolha.com is celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2019. To accompany this important milestone bolha.com was relaunched on the Common Base Technology, the new technological backbone for Styria's Marketplaces.
Over the past 20 years bolha.com has become Slovenia's household name for online trading and an integral part the Slovenian digital tradition. With millions of items sold over the decades bolha.com today reaches almost half of the Slovenian online population every month.
Right on time for the anniversary, bolha.com is presenting itself with a refreshed look and lots of new functionalities for users and clients powered by the the Common Base Technology that bolha.com was migrated to last week.
Based on the proven products and platform of Njuškalo, Styria's #1 marketplace in Croatia, the Common Base Technology was technically developed by Trikoder, the internal technology provider of the Marketplaces Cluster. As of now, Njuškalo and and Bolha are sharing one technological basis which allows much faster and efficient development of new products and services.
"The team at Styria Digital Marketplaces in Slovenia is glad to welcome the reborn and technologically improved bolha.com at a time when we celebrate our 20th anniversary. bolha.com was launched when also technological giants such as Google and Amazon were born and has since then settled into the hearts of Slovenian shoppers and buyers. I would like to thank the joint development task force at Trikoder, Njuškalo and Styria Digital Marketplaces Slovenia for making this important upgrade a reality," says Tomaž Gorjup, CEO of Styria Digital Marketplaces Slovenia.
"The launch of the Common Base Technology is an important step not only for bolha.com but also for Njuškalo and the whole Marketplaces Cluster. The CBT will not only make us faster but also allow us to enter into new markets based on our proven business models," adds Goran Rubcic, CEO of Njuškalo and Trikoder.
"On top of the obvious advantages that the joint technology will have for us, I am especially happy to see yet another proof of the power, skill and passion of the people working in our Cluster units. The Common Base Technology is the result of close cooperation across the markets which is a strong source of competitive advantage for us. I want to thank the whole team who has worked very hard over the last months to make this important achievement come true!" says Michael Berger, Head of Marketplaces.
