STYRIA's innovative strength confirmed once again
The Google Digital News Innovation Fund once again confirms one of the great strengths of Styria Media Group. An innovative project of Styria Digital Services has now been awarded and promoted: a prototype on the subject of block chain.
How can one guarantee in times of Fake News and Co. that well researched contents were not falsified? With Wolfgang Roth, Head of Growth Management, and Andreas Augustin, Head of Brand & Audience Development, Styria Digital Services is developing a prototype: Blockchain technology ensures trustworthy media transmission for the user in the long term. This could make it easier to identify distorted or fake messages that were originally written by editors but were subsequently modified.
This is already the third project of the Styria Media Group which is supported by the Google DNI Fund. In summer 2017 a personalised regional news platform, developed by the Croatian STYRIA companies Styria Media Services and 24sata, as well as the "Publisher Lead Generator - PLG" of the Austrian Styria Content Creation were awarded.
"The renewed promotion of a project by the Google DNI Fund shows that innovation is lived and implemented in the Styria Media Group", Markus Mair, CEO Styria Media Group, states: "Innovation in STYRIA, these are concrete projects that make sense and create economic value. This requires the curiosity and openness as well as the implementation strength of our employees".
According to Google, the funding project of Google, one of the largest companies worldwide, is based on the idea of strengthening digital journalism through modern technologies. To this end, innovative projects are supported that create benefits for the entire media world.
