Styria radio stations are number one in the region

Whether driving, in the office or at home, via radio, app or web: Carinthians and Styrians listen to Antenne. As confirmed in the current data from Radiotest, the Styria Group stations are the most popular regional stations in each province. With market shares of 28% (Carinthia) and 27% (Styria), these stations leave all their regional competitors far behind. Thus Antenne Carinthia has scored a record high in the almost 20 years of its broadcasting history. The number-1-position as most popular regional station in each province is underlined by the daily reach: 30% in Carinthia and 29.7% in Styria. That means that almost one in three Styrians and Carinthians aged between 14 and 49 listens to Antenne every day.

Particularly impressive is the uninterrupted power of the medium of radio in the core markets of the Styria Group, with "time spent listening" at 219 minutes a day in Carinthia and 217 minutes in Styria actually lying well above the mean across Austria. “There’s a word we can use to sum up these outstanding results: thanks”, said Antenne CEO Gottfried Bichler. “We owe those thanks to all our listeners, customers, partners and, or course, our entire team. The spirit, passion and commitment of our staff that go well beyond the norm; these are the foundations of our success.”

News five minutes earlier, the best traffic service in the country and always one hit ahead – in 2017 too, regionality and closeness to our listeners are the mainstays of the Antennes. Among many events planned for 2017, in February there’s one that’s just right for the young target group: for the 21st time, the Antenne school ski day hits both piste and stage at the interlinked 4-mountain “Skischaukel” in Schladming. For thousands of school kids there’s mountain fun & action guaranteed, along with Lemo and Thorsteinn Einarsson live on stage. This year the Antenne 1-Euro school ski day was launched in Carinthia, offering perfect fun on the pistes of 6 Carinthian ski resorts. What has already been a success story for years in Styria launches right now in Carinthia too, namely the Antenne school initiative. Here Carinthian school kids can sneak a peek behind the scenes and have a go at radio broadcasting for themselves. Delivering a particular highlight in Styria is cabaret-shooting-star Paul Pizzera with an exclusive studio concert on Thursday in the weeks to come. Live before selected Antenne listeners, he’ll also be packing the latest chart hits.
