“one moment”: Styria Content Creation founds strategy unit and doubles team of experts
Multiple-award-winning Styria Content Creation is gathering its content expertise together and, in the course of this, significantly enlarging its team and product portfolio. To this end, it has founded the “One Moment” strategy unit, with experts on content strategy, generation and distribution, who will offer clients comprehensive advice. Styria Content Creation’s service portfolio to date – owned media solutions in print, digital, audio and video – is retained and will be enlarged, in close collaboration with styria digital one, to cover native advertising, sponsored content, digital content distribution, performance marketing, search engine marketing, social media marketing, email marketing and through communication solutions with influencers, bloggers and vloggers.
Johann, Distl and Kubin form the executive
The company incorporates a total of 45 staff, who are transferring partly from three Styria units, rca radio content austria, styria digital one and Styria Digital Services, to new roles in Styria Content Creation. This doubles the former team strength.
A three-person executive, consisting of Alexis Johann, Martin Distl and Eva Maria Kubin, heads the new team. Johann is chairman of the board with a portfolio covering digital conception, content & production. Residing with Distl are marketing, corporate publishing and sales, whilst Kubin is responsible for performance marketing, the financial & HR departments and organisation & processes. Additionally, Johann and Kubin remain part of the executive boards of styria digital one and rca radio content austria.
Substantial enlargement of the service portfolio to date
“For media firms like ours, the future lies in offering services from a single source, thereby appearing like agencies. Why? Through our journalistic background, we know what moves people and how we can reach them on a daily basis. That gives customers a decisive advantage: based on many years’ experience, we deliver content expertise that’s in pace with the times, provokes interaction and thus substantially simplifies editorial processes for our customers”, summarises Alexis Johann regarding the strategic significance of the move.
The company consists of teams for performance marketing (led by Pierre Kelz-Flitsch), project management & conception (led by Katja Giebner and Brigitte Fuchs), content & production (led by Stefan Weger) and sales (led by Christian Haider) and has two sites in Vienna and Graz. Martin Distl’s comment on the new unit: “In this new constellation, we double our content power and, with the appropriate strategy, creative content and precisely-targeted distribution, we ensure that our customers get noticed.”
For customers, Christian Haider’s sales team remains the point of contact for owned media and corporate publishing, whilst the sales team working for Marion Stelzer-Zöchbauer and Pierre Greber in styria digital one continues to advise on paid media and digital content distribution. The development and realisation of content and communications solutions is handled by Styria Content Creation.
“With styria digital one we’re not just growing together regarding content but also location and we now share a floor on Hainburger Strasse 33. That way we achieve an ideal merger of our expertise and swap know-how. The objective is clear: we will become number one in content marketing, native advertising and sponsored content”, is Eva-Maria Kubin’s outlook on the future.
Content marketing, which includes “native advertising”, means “content-driven communication” conveying relevant, editorial content. The annual market volume in Austria (print and online) is around 450 million euros. From this area, 65.5% of businesses anticipate increasing budgets, in corporate publishing (print) too. In Europe, people reckon on a trebling by 2020. The market is broadly distributed – at 2.2%, Styria counts as one of the domestic heavyweights in this sector.
Styria Content Creation has 43 staff in Vienna and Graz. The highest circulation on the Austrian corporate publishing market, 1.7 billion page impressions, 83 million visits per month, Facebook pages as Facebook partners, sd one as the largest digital marketing network, 1.4 million performance ad spends per year and Styria in all its diversity and size encompassing 3000 staff (many editorial), together form the ideal foundation for a story of success.
