Google DNI Innovation Fund confirms Styria Media Group’s strength in innovation
Two projects from Austria and Croatia receive distinctions and support.
Now two innovative Styria Media Group projects are to receive support from the Google DNI Innovation Fund: a personalised, regional news platform developed by the Croatian units of Styria Media Services and 24sata, along with the “Publisher Lead Generator – PLG” of the Austrian Styria Content Creation unit.
How can publishers and advertisers collect data about potential subscribers and purchasers on digital media platforms? With its “Publisher Lead Generator - PLG”, Styria Content Creation is developing a solution – and being supported to that end by the Google DNI Innovation Fund. The PLG enables publishers and advertisers, including those without comprehensive technical skills, to create dynamic, online advertising material with ease, in order to generate new leads (e.g. subscriptions or newsletter requests).
Additionally, it was an innovation by Styria Media Services and 24sata (Croatia) that was selected from hundreds of projects throughout Europe to receive a prestigious Google DNI Innovation Fund distinction. In this case, a personalised platform for regional news publication. With the aid of the latest technology, this “intelligent” platform ultimately improves the publishing process on digital platforms and offers the user personalised information – perfectly aligned with the global trend. Thus users find all the content that’s relevant for them, factually correct. For two years now, the Data Science Team in Croatia has been engaged in intensive research and development of artificial intelligence technologies, concentrating on computer vision and natural language processing.
