24sata thrills with new live studio and LED wall for million viewers
The Croatian STYRIA media brand has been a pioneer in video for years: Now Matej Lončarić and his video team have a futuristic studio that recently proved its worth during coverage of local and regional elections in Croatia.

"5, 4, 3, 2, 1, we're live," was the message a few days ago when the presenters kicked off the election evening in the brand-new 24sata studio and then commented on the political developments in Zagreb and other cities and municipalities with numerous guests. "We had around 1.9 million video views, more than Croatian public television, Nova TV or RTL," says 24sata video head Matej Lončarić happily.
For the newly renovated studio, which was completed only a few days before the event, it was a real test. And it worked out. "It was the best opportunity to present a whole new dimension of live shows to the viewers. Our presenters not only commented with guests, they also had a very close look at what was happening in the polling stations," says Lončarić, who calls the new look of the studio a "futuristic edition of informative reporting in the skilful manner of the tabloid press".
For about six years, 24sata, actually a daily newspaper, has been creating high-quality and original video content: fast, passionate and with journalistic care. "Now we want to complete everything we've managed so far and work even better on digital content." The studio is richer by an innovative solution, the video boss calls it a "high-tech wonder": "The Wall IW012J" by Samsung, a powerful LED wall. "This will bring viewers a completely new experience of watching programmes from our studio. We want it to create trends and be an inspiration."
"The Wall uses advanced image refinement technologies to ensure optimal brightness and color contrast levels for each scene. This is especially important in high-tech studios where different forms of content are being broadcasted, just as it is in the case in the new 24sata studio, where news and many other kinds of content are broadcasted to more than a million users" says Emir Žunić, Key Customer Manager for Samsung Electronics Adriatic Croatia.
For the 24sata brand, which has been breaking ratings records on its digital platforms for years, the new studio with Wall is a logical step in studio coverage. Lončarić: "There is hardly a high-ranking politician, sportsman or celebrity who has not been a guest on our live shows. The newly designed studio gives us even more momentum here for high-quality video content that we will create in the future."
