DDr. Horst Pirker

Born in 1959, studied Law and Business Studies at Karl-Franz University in Graz. In 1984 Horst Pirker began as Assistant Director at the "Kleinen Zeitung" in Carinthia and in 1986 became Director. 1991 he moved as Publishing Director of newspaper publishers "Styria" to Graz and in 1995 he additionally took over management at the "Media House Carinthia". Horst Pirker has been Managing Director at "Styria Media Group AG" since 1997 and Chairman of the Board since 1999. Horst Pirker is President of IFRA, a globally active newspaper organization as well as being President of VÖZ, the Association of Austrian Newspapers. Furthermore he belongs to a number of supervisory and governing bodies in businesses and organizations at home and abroad.
